Tradeshow Lighting
Remember, you want your customers to
see your brand, and by adding lighting will stand out and be easily
remembered.
Lighting is easily overlooked with tradeshow display design, however it
is vital to all displays. The right lighting can make a statement,
attract attention, and set the mood of the display.
Tradeshow producers will provide the basic room lighting free of charge.
However, this will not set your exhibit apart from the others. Some of
the larger shows will offer lamps, or other light sources for rent. You
can also purchase a lamp, or you can create your own light display.
Of all the years that I have attended and participated in tradeshows,
one booth has always stuck in my mind. The booth was a custom design in
shape of an igloo, which was eye-catching enough. However, the light
display resembled that of the Aurora Borealis. The soft glow if the
lights almost hypnotized you and drew you to the display. This company
knew the importance of good lighting.
Tradeshow lighting mechanisms can be built into or attached to your
display to offer you the best approach, which was the case with the
igloo. The main reason for this is that it makes your lighting easier to
manage, and ship, not to mention it's one less thing to worry about
leaving behind.
However, the best reason for having built-in lighting is it accents your
display in the right places. With the igloo I mentioned, they had lights
built into the wall panels, as well as lights shone above the display.
Generally, however, lights are built either in front of or above the
signage to call attention to the brand or message on display. Remember,
you want your customers to see your brand, and by adding lighting will
stand out and be easily remembered.
