Tradeshow Supplies
Being prepared with literature,
smiles, and the right supplies will make a successful tradeshow
experience.
Tradeshow supplies includes everything
that will make your show a success, including furniture, electrical
equipment, promotional giveaway items, and hand sanitizer. What is on
your list may be longer or shorter depending upon your exhibit.
Regardless, always carefully plan what you think you may need during the
entire exhibit and make a list, then include everything you possibly
could need, including a needle and thread.
The last show I attended, the representative across from my booth had a
seam splitting experience. Thanks to a needle and thread and the use of
some well placed duck tape, we were able to save him, by the seat of his
pants. This is why weeks before every show you should gear up. Pack
items such as scissors, tape supplies, black sharpies, and any small
supplies that you may over look, or forget. You may be shocked at many
times something as simple as a black sharpie can lead to chaos.
For this reason, many years ago I created my tradeshow supplies tool
kit, and a week before the show, I review it's contents to make sure
that everything I could possible need is packed and that there is plenty
of it. My tool kit includes: Several ink pens, black, and blue ink, as
well as fine and medium point. Several sharpies, (12 black, then two in
each of my company's colors), tape, duck tape, masking tap, and scotch
tape, hammer, scissors, chewing gum, breath mints, a mirror, tissues,
needle and navy and black thread, a stapler and staples, as well as
other items. This may sound obsessive to some, but I have used each item
or have loaned
it out during my years in the tradeshow world.
Remember the physical structure of your booth is important, but is
useless unless you have all of the right supplies you need to give the
best presentation you can. Being prepared with literature, smiles, and
the right supplies will make a successful tradeshow experience.
